Bill Donohue started his work life as a Catholic priest in 1964 after graduating from the University of Louvain, Belgium. He left in 1974 and married Maryalice Palmer. They parented six daughters. In 1975 Bill began a career path of economic and community development which included Commerce Commissioner under the late Mario Cuomo. He retired in 2006. Bill and Maryalice live in Clarence, NY outside of Buffalo.
